Support the Robin Sly Memorial Fund
The legacy of the Idaho Department of Education’s 2009 Teacher of the Year, Robin Sly ’97, MA’03, is embodied in the lessons and memories of the hundreds of Trail Wind Elementary School first-graders that she taught. Robin left behind a legacy of students who not only adored her but who still feel the positive impact she made in their lives. Teaching was Robin’s passion, and she freely shared her knowledge with anyone who needed advice. She was admired and respected by her students, their parents, and her school faculty. She made the world a better place and is greatly missed.
Following her death, her family founded the Robin Sly Memorial Teacher Education Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to be presented to a non-traditional Boise State student in Elementary Education, honoring Robin’s own legacy as a teacher who came to her calling later in life.
