Boise State women's soccer will be adventuring to Barcelona, Spain and San Sebastian in the Basque Country in May 2017. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity to train with world-class soccer clubs, explore a new culture and provide service opportunities with those less fortunate.
Women's soccer is not only an extracurricular activity at Boise State, it is an education all its own. For the past 18 months the team has focused on a rigorous course of study around the program's four pillars: humility in action, hard work as a given, toughness in tolerance, and leaving a legacy. The result thus far has been a group of gifted young women from a much-chided generation learning and understanding the value of appreciation, hard work and leadership as they seek to make their communities a better place.
The next eight months will prepare the team to expand their reach and their comfort zone; to take their lessons and philosophies across the Atlantic and put the four pillars in action in a new community on foreign land. The foreign tour to Spain will serve as a capstone class in the coursework of Boise State women's soccer.
