By donating, you are helping the Campus Food Pantry offer nourishing and cost-effective meal and snack options for Boise State students in need of food assistance.

The pantry offers a variety of canned and boxed foods, shelf-stable produce, snack options, sauces and seasonings, and personal hygiene products.

In a fall 2018 survey, 36 percent of students reported being food insecure. As the pantry gained awareness in the community, an influx of students began to utilize this resource.

During the fall 2018 semester, 194 Boise State students utilized the pantry. Whereas during fall semester 2020, over 600 students have utilized the pantry. The pantry on average is serving 155 students a month.

As the demand for food has grown, so has the pantry.

In order to keep up with student needs, the Campus Food Pantry has reopened in a larger space. The former art gallery, located in the Campus School Building, will allow the pantry to stock more items, and serve students while maintaining appropriate physical distancing.

The pantry has also recently finalized a partnership with the Idaho Food Bank, which will put more food on the shelves, and provide students with more variety, at no cost to the Campus Food Pantry. This partnership allows the pantry to focus monetary donations toward serving populations with unique dietary needs, and populations that may require specialty staple foods- such as international students.

By donating, you are helping to keep Broncos full and focused on their future.
