Prioritizing us, the Resiliency Room

As an issue that had originally been brought up by Kuwait and Saudi Arabian students at Boise State almost six years ago, the need for a private, accessible place to pray is not a new topic.

Since then, the Inclusive Excellence Student Council took the idea of the need for a prayer space and did what we do best, made it more inclusive.

The Resiliency Room will be a place for students of all origins and beliefs to meditate, pray, reflect and/or simply breathe.

With that, we need your help to make sure this space is filled with the proper materials to adequately function as an environment that prioritizes mindfulness for everyone. The importance of mental health has often been overlooked so the Resiliency Room will aim to cater to this aspect that our university desperately needs to fulfill for our students, staff and faculty.

Our initial $10,000 goal will help accommodate for items such as beads, prayer rugs/mats/pads, books, and other miscellaneous materials folks need to properly utilize the space. After achieving this goal, we hope to raise another $10,000 to include a wash station in the space.

With your donations we are able to provide a safe and clean environment with materials to help folks recenter themselves and nourish their well being in order to take on the future of tomorrow.

Choose a giving level

Beads, Books & Mats

Donating $5 allows us to purchase items such as beads, books, pads and mats to provide an adequate and comfortable ability to experience the mindfulness folks are coming in for.

Furniture & Rugs

By donating $10 you give us the opportunity to provide more accessible seating as well as proper prayer materials such as a prayer rug.

Bookshelves & Decor

The Resiliency room is a space that centers mindfulness in the multifaceted ways Broncos practice it, by donating $25 we can provide decor that enhances mindfulness with natural elements as well as storage to prevent clutter.

The Wash Station

A wash station in the Resiliency Room is our ultimate goal and where a large chunk of our money is going towards. A wash station allows for our room to have a private area to perform necessary steps before prayer that a normal bathroom could not provide. $100 towards a wash station means we are able to provide more than just a room for Broncos but a true experience in prayer.

The Package Deal

Donate $500 to help us gather together and invest in all of what this room calls for; books, beads, mats, shelving, rugs, pads, decor and our wash station!
