What's Zine Club?
Zine Club is one of Boise State’s newest clubs on campus, where we strive to bring together Boise State students of all identities to foster a collaborative community, promoting a welcoming environment for creative expression through zine-making.

Wait... what's a zine?
A zine (pronounced “zeen”) is most commonly described as a mini-magazine. They’re DIY, low-cost, copied pieces of paper formed into a little booklet, that are typically distributed for free or sold at a low cost. Zines are a great way to express yourself and were popularized by movements like the Harlem Renaissance, fanzines of the 1930s, Riot Grrrl, and more. The best part is that zines are for everyone and can be about anything - ideas, art, politics, special interests, poetry, you name it!
How can I help Zine Club flourish?
Zine Club is grateful to distribute our zines each month at no cost to anyone who receives them, but our costs do add up quickly, close to $300/month just for printing alone! We’re seeking donations to go directly to our club, which would be used to help cover the costs of printing our monthly zines, crafts and materials for our workshops, speaker fees and potential merchandise. Any amount is much appreciated to help our club as it grows and shares zines with Boise State students and the Idaho community!
