The Student Emergency Fund needs your help.
The Boise State Student Emergency Fund provides one-time grants of up to $500 to assist Broncos who need a small amount of financial assistance to get through a crisis and stay in school. Each student who receives a grant receives individualized consulting to help explore community resources and outreach options that may be available. A grant from the Student Emergency Fund can be the difference between graduating on time or not graduating at all.
You can make an impact.
During the 2023-2024 school year, the Student Emergency Fund awarded 151 grants for a total of $75,500.
As one recipient states, "The emergency fund was a lifesaver. Through some sudden family health issues, my family lost a large chunk of our monthly income. Utility bills backed up, our refrigerator was empty, and rent was coming due. Not to mention, my gas tank was on empty and I wasn’t sure how I was going to get to classes. This was a stressful time that took my focus away from my academics, but with this emergency fund and the extra resources Boise State pointed me towards, I was finally able to take a breath and focus back on getting the most out of my academic learning."
Your donation makes a difference.
With your support, we can set the Broncos up for success this school year by providing more Student Emergency Fund grants to Broncos in need.
Michelle Cain, the Manager of Student Basic Needs Resources says, "I am constantly reminded that Boise State students are resilient and work hard to overcome barriers that might get in the way of their education. Students know that education can change their circumstances, and allow them to pursue a better life for themselves. Your support of this program can be the lifeline a student needs to continue their journey at Boise State."
