The Campus Food Pantry Needs Your Help
Fred and Jill Cornforth have significantly contributed to several food pantries across the state, including Boise State's. The Cornforth's generous gift to the Boise State Campus Food Pantry has been instrumental in supporting the growth and expansion of the program. The Campus Food Pantry has grown exponentially since its creation in 2018, and as visits continued to rise, the pantry had trouble keeping up with the growing need. Fred and Jill's gift was to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Pantry, and the gift has done just that. With this donation, we have purchased more shelving, expanded our space, and provided substantially more food and hygiene products for students in need.
Sadly Fred passed away in 2024. During his life, he gave back to causes that he cared deeply about and paid forward what had been given to him. Fred often said he had tremendous satisfaction sharing his experiences and changing lives so they will see what it means to be involved in other people's lives.
To Honor Fred's Legacy, We Invite You to the 2024 Cornforth Challenge
The generosity of the Cornforth family will continue to impact students for years to come. As a way to honor Fred Cornforth, we invite the Boise State community to participate in the 2024 Cornforth Challenge. Starting on November 18th, we encourage you to show your appreciation for the Cornforth family's support of the Campus Food Pantry.
This challenge will culminate on November 27th, and every gift you make will help ensure students in need have access to vital resources.
Make your gift today and help us meet the goal of the Cornforth Challenge. Your support will make a real difference in the lives of Boise State students.
Thank you for being part of this meaningful effort!
"During challenging times, having access to the food pantry has been a lifeline. Your commitment to ensuring that no student goes hungry will be remembered. The essential items relieve our financial stress and allow us to focus more on our studies without worrying about where our next meal will come from."

"With being a college student I have been fortunate enough to get just enough money from my loan company to cover tuition, bills, and housing. I have about $20 left at the end of the month for groceries and gas. The food pantry has helped me tremendously and now I do not have to worry about what I will eat for the next week or how I will get to school and practice. I just want to thank each and every single one of our donors for taking the time and helping all of us students. You are feeding the mouths of future doctors, engineers, lawyers, artists, social workers, and many more."
