The Campus Food Pantry Needs Your Help
Fred and Jill Cornforth have significantly contributed to several food pantries across the state, including Boise State's. The Cornforth's generous gift to the Boise State Campus Food Pantry has been instrumental in supporting the growth and expansion of the program. The Campus Food Pantry has grown exponentially since its creation in 2018, and as visits continued to rise, the pantry had trouble keeping up with the growing need. Fred and Jill's gift was to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Pantry, and the gift has done just that. With this donation, we have purchased more shelving, expanded our space, and provided substantially more food and hygiene products for students in need.
Fred is a compassionate person - identifying the needs of people with few or limited means and striving to make the world a better place. He gives back to causes and others to pay forward what has been given to him. Fred says he has tremendous satisfaction sharing his experiences and changing lives so they will see what it means to be involved in other people's lives.
Today, We Challenge You To The Cornforth Challenge
The Cornforth's generosity will have an impact on students for many years to come. As a thank you, we want to challenge the Boise State community to the Cornforth Challenge. Starting December 11th, we want to show the Cornforth's how much we appreciate them by supporting the Campus Food Pantry in their honor. This challenge will culminate on December 20th, which is Fred's birthday. Make a gift today to support the Cornforth Challenge!
"The Campus Food Pantry has been so welcoming, accessible, and an amazing resource to students in need. I am so grateful for the opportunities provided on campus for students. Before knowing about the pantry I would go weeks without having fresh or nutritional food at my home. Thank you for everything you provide." ~ Current Pantry User
"The food pantry has helped me stay in college when I had medical bills on top of my normal expenses and couldn’t afford to buy groceries. I am a full-time worker and full-time student, and the food pantry took away one of my financial stressors so I didn’t have to drop out and move 2.6k miles back home."
